“No hangups, no put-ons, no phoniness—just a right-on chick biker.” — Easyriders Magazine Issue #2, August 1971

I salute all the female bikers out there. Semi-nude models in motorcycle mags aren’t usually my thing — and I feel like reading contemporary issues of Easyrider would just make me laugh — but this girl is the real deal. I love that she had a Triumph. Badass.

  1. a friend of mine and i were talking about getting our motorcycle permits just yesterday, probably not choppers but i still love to feel the wind in my hair! vrooooooooooooooooom! love this post – 70s biker chicks are a great inspiration, thanks alison :)

  2. what i like is that she’s not a toothpick like all the magazines portray today. real girl with a real body. i wonder, though, what were the Arizona bike hassles? i’ll have to go look that up…

Woah. We were on the same page today mama. I love these images! Did you scan them yourself? I love that she’s got boobs that move. ;)

    Fantastic.

Makes you wonder where she’s at today, if she’s still alive, which I hope that she is.

If she was 18 in 1971, that means she would have been born in 1953, putting her at the age of 58 today, if still living.

It would be interesting to do some research in an attempt to find out if she’s still alive, and then ask her about this particular photoshoot. Imagine what she saw in her days AFTER this photoshoot and she made her way back out in the world: one can only wonder. She’s probably a Grandmother now. Or not. I found a Linda Clute on Facebook, but it’s likely not her. Her last name would have changed since it states that she’s married, although some people continue to use their maiden names, etc.

Suddenly I feel like I am over-thinking this comment, so do forgive me. I happened upon your blog via random Google internet searches and it was a delight to visit!
