It is near State College, Pa. It's a water cave - and I believe it is about 3-5 million years old. I toured it when I was a child and decided I wanted to see it again. It definitely did not disappoint! One thing I did not remember, however, was the eerie tale that accompanies it. It concerned a white settler falling for a Bative American princess. After attempting to rub away together her father captures him - throwing him into the 38 degree water of the cave. His men were guarding the only know entrance of the time, so the settler could not escape. He swam for days looking for another escape. At sone point he called up onto the rocks in this photo and died. The Native men then weighted his body and threw it into the cave water once again. Supposedly you can hear him call the princess's name on summer nights.

I love caves too. There are some amazing caves in Calaveras County, CA. It's gold country. I went on a hardcore spelunking excursion into one where we had to wear coveralls & shimmy on the ground like snakes under big boulders & into amazing cathedrals of stalactites. By the time we came out, my hair was completely encrusted with mud. It was amazing!
