i don’t know how to feel about this. or the accompanying quote from nyt about that guy’s nose. ouch.

i do like how the mole is very “welcome chez moi” in the picture.

Never seen this special kind of mole. Fun! Moles must be one of my favorite animals, along with bats.

I grew up with a book called “The mole Grabowski” (http://www.amazon.de/Maulwurf-Grabowski-Luis-Murschetz/dp/3257005423), with a mole trying to find a new home because his was being destroyed. (can you tell I grew up in the peace movement and was raised by ’68-rooted parents?) My parents often have moles in their garden, much to their chagrin. And when I was a teen, my father once killed a mole and I didn’t talk with him for a month.

Oooooh – now I am hoping moles will be the new owl! Much better than foxes.
